Guggul, or guggulu, extract comes from the Commiphora mukul tree. The active ingredients are guggulosterones. Guggul* is beneficial for cholesterol levels and contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels.The added Policosanol is standardized to 60% octacosanol. Policosanol is a natural product extracted from sugar cane. Policosanol itself no longer contains any sugars and can therefore be used by diabetics.Red palm oil has also been added to New Care Cholesterol Balance. Red palm oil contains, among other things, carotenoids. Carotenoids are the precursors of vitamin A and are converted into this fat-soluble vitamin in the body as needed. Red palm oil also contains fat-soluble vitamin E in the form of tocopherols and tocotrienols. There are four fat-soluble vitamins in total: vitamin A, E, D, and K.
