It originated in the Mediterranean and subsequently spread throughout Europe and North America. Borage oil is the richest natural source of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). GLA helps with discomfort before and during menstruation.Unfortunately, this polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acid is rarely found in food.
